Predstavte si pozemok orientovaný na sever, v mieste, kde Bratislava má svoj najveternejší kút. Pozemok má prevýšeníe 13 metrov a je navyše prístupný iba zhora z južnej strany. Tieto všetky negatíva lokality ma neodradili, ale stali sa pre mňa výzvou. Výsledkom je rozvoľnená hmotová kompozícia okolo átriového priestoru, ktorá chráni vonkajší obytný priestor od nepriazne poveternosti. Dom má dve oddelené bytové jednotky. Do pravouhlej hranolovitej hmoty je vklinená prevýšená trojhranná hmota vertikálneho komunikačného jadra, ktorého vertikálny priebežný presklenný arkier je ukončený bazilikálnym prevýšením a zobákom – dynamickým arkierovitým prvkom vyjadrujúci programový dynamický kontrast so statickou hmotou.
VILLA ON THE LOOKOUT POINT – Try to imagine: the plot of land is oriented to the north side of a steep slope – location of the windiest place in Bratislava. The difference between the highest point of the ground with street access, and the lowest point of the ground is 13 metres. All these negatives of location awoke me to the fact that this was going to be a real challenge. The final result of this can be seen by the shape of the building, the parts of which surround the central courtyard where the day area is located. The house has two independent living units. A vertical triangular communication unit – which is higher than the surroundings – is wedged into the rectangular mass. The continuous horizontal window – ending in a vertically presented beak-edged oriel window – highlights the contrast between the two masses.
