036 ■ EXPOZÍCIA ŠPERKOV VEĽKEJ MORAVY PRE VLASTIVEDNÉ MÚZEUM, Nitra (1974)

EXPOZÍCIA ŠPERKOV VEĽKEJ MORAVY PRE VLASTIVEDNÉ MÚZEUM, Arcibiskupský palác Nitra
EXHIBITION OF ‘AGE OF THE GREAT MORAVIAN EMPIRE’ FOR NATIONAL MUSEUM, Archbishop’s Palace Nitra

036 ■ Návrh a projekt – I.Ďurdiak, I.Slameň, B.Somora ■ Realizácia – Výstavníctvo 1977 ■ Design and project
– I.Ďurdiak, I.Slameň, B.Somora ■ Realisation – Výstavníctvo 1977 ■

EXHIBITION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL FINDINGS OF THE GREAT MORAVIAN EMPIRE, NATIONAL MUSEUM IN NITRA – This is an architectonic-artistic realisation of an exhibition in a classicistic building of the bishop’s residence. The exhibition is created as an aesthetic contemporary interior element put inside an older style of architecture. Prismatic vertical elements are in a visible area of prisms, interrupted by glass showcases. The strict rectangular contemporary shapes enable enhancement of the outstanding lavishly shaped jewels, weapons and ceramics from the period of the Great Moravian Empire. The austerity in the shapes is enriched by a surface material composing of dull-white and indigo-blue plush.
