Súťažný návrh vychádzajúci z génia loci. Na tomto mieste bola a dodnes je križovatka ciest do Trnavy a Komárna. Ako reakciu na tento fakt sme navrhli výškový objekt s ostrou hranou na mieste kríženia ciest, kde dve základné prelínajúce hmoty návrhu – horizontálna hmota a vertikálna hmota majú rôzne smerovanie naväzujúce na existujúcu uličnú sieť. Vzájomné pootočenie umocňuje základnú ideu. Kontrast oboch hmôt umocňuje aj kontrast materiálov.

VUB HEADQUARTERS BUILDING – Our competition entry was based on the idea “genius loci“. Historically, this point has always been the crossroad landmark to Trnava and Komarno. As a result of this fact, we formed the vertical part of the building with the extreme edge located exactly on the crossroad corner. Our design is based on a five-floor block, overlapping with an iron-shaped skyscraper. Both parts of the building have a different grid direction and each of them is connected to the axis of the surrounding streets. The contrast of the vertical and horizontal part of building is underlined by the different direction and the different materials applied.
